Physical Therapy House Calls

Home Advantage Rehabilitation Solutions (HARS) – offering Physical Therapy House Calls, was founded in 2008 by Kevin Mangan, PT, DPT, and Michael Marzano, OTR/L. Together they have over 45 years of combined experience in home-based rehabilitation. HARS was formed when Kevin and Mike, both having extensive experience working for Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHAs), realized there was a large population of patients who did not qualify for CHHA services but were unable to attend outpatient therapy. Today, HARS has over 45 therapists serving people in their homes throughout Nassau, Suffolk, and Queens.  We accept most major insurances.

  • Straight leg raises– Lie on your back and bend one knee while keeping the other foot planted. Point your toes where your knee is bent and slowly lift your leg. Do about 15-20 repetitions and repeat on the opposite foot.
  • Bridge-Lie on your back with knees bent, place feet hip-distance apart and close to your buttocks. Slowly raise your pelvis while squeezing your gluteal muscles and keeping your knees aligned with your ankles. Hold for 3-5 seconds and repeat as needed.
  • Hamstring stretch– Lie on your back and raise one leg while holding on to the thighs. Pull that leg close to your chest and slowly straighten it. As long as you feel a stretch it doesn’t have to be straight, hold for about 30-45 seconds and repeat.
